A new music video posted to YouTube Tuesday features Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani
The video comes 100 days after Rouhani appointed his cabinet, and it includes parts of the speech he delivered during the Aug. 3 ceremony at which Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei endorsed him as president, the BBC reports.
The lyrics of the song in the music video, sung in Farsi, are also based on Rouhani’s speech, and the video was produced by Hoseyn Dehbashi, who also produced Rouhani’s campaign videos, according to the BBC report. As the Washington Post has pointed out, the video bears striking resemblance to U.S. President Barack Obama’s “Yes We Can” campaign video of 2008. Read more…
